![]() ![]() I did get a little irked around 40% because their fights became a bit intense and off-putting, but I took it in good faith because their animosity was the driving force behind the plot. ![]() Naomi and Nicholas were such dears and I was cheering for them from the very first page. The protagonists and the host of side characters were funny and engaging and Naomi, the female protagonist, made my reading experience amazing. This book has awkward, comedic scenes in spades and dialogue that might send you wheezing. At the risk of sounding like a broken record, there were too many laugh-out-loud scenes and as a person that suffers from a serious case of deep secondhand embarrassment, it took me an inordinate amount of time reading some scenes. ![]() This was billed as a “ wickedly funny, lovers-to-enemies-to-lovers romantic comedy debut ,’ and that’s about right. ![]()
